CITY SHAPES is a solo exhibition of original artwork by Morgan Murphy. The brand-new collection focuses on & celebrates the shapes & forms that make chicago uniquely iconic.
this collection will be available for viewing & purchase at Royal Grocer Gallery from August 9-September 12. AND there will be an opening party/reception on Saturday, August 9 from 6-8pm.

This year, under the tracks at International Pop-Down, we’re transforming concrete into canvas. With global music performances and local vendors.
“White Noise” is a site-specific art installation where white-sheet walls stretch between train pillars, inviting you to step inside and slow down. Because even in a city that never stops moving, we all need something soft to lean against.

Sunday, July 20, Plein Air Festival Grand Finale.
Join us for an afternoon of art, awards, a plein air cafe and an Outdoor Art Market where artists will sell their work “off the easel”. Rotary’s Café International will have delicious food and wine for sale, with outdoor seating to relax and enjoy the festival. Evanston Plein Air Festival
July 16 – 19, Paint Outs. Paint Outs are “quick paint” competitions for competing plein air painters! Watch painters work during the painting time and join us for award ceremonies.

Friday, 7/18 – Plein Air Festival Block Party. Hosted by the Main Dempster Mile, everyone is invited to meet the competing artists, view the Paint Out competition, shop the plein air art market, enjoy live music and delicious drinks and bites! Organized by Gateway Markets and hosted by Pilot Project, this market is perfect for kids, families, and everyone else. Local vendors will be offering colorful, whimsical, and artful items to celebrate your inner child.

Uptown Art Week (Market)
Come snag an original painting, upcycled trinket jar, sticker, or print from Morgan’s booth at the Uptown Art Week Market at Wilson Abbey on Wilson Avenue in Uptown.
Note: During market hours, Morgan will be painting a mural nearby at 2Bears Tavern. Her partner will be managing her table while she’s there, so be sure to say hello to Kevin (and swing by the mural after checking out the market)!

Uptown Art Walk (Mural Painting)
Morgan will be painting a 4x4’ mural outside 2Bears Tavern on Wilson Ave. during Uptown Art Walk!
The mural is part of the Graceland Walls Gallery initiative led by the Uptown Chamber of Commerce. In partnering with the owner of 2Bears Tavern, Morgan will incorporate symbols and colors that hold meaning for the Tavern in her final work of art.
The piece will be painted from 10-4pm and upon completion will be transferred to the eastern wall of Graceland Cemetery, where it will stay permanently on display for the community.
